Lauderhill, Florida
We were driving down Commercial Boulevard to our hotel, and I saw something extraordinary: a Popeyes beside a Popeyes. Popeyes has excellent chicken, but there had to be some mistake, and the two franchises should not be neighbors. This Google Maps link shows what we saw.

At first, the two Popeyes beside each other reminded me of the great Lewis Black Starbucks joke, but I had to be sure that my eyes were not playing tricks on me, and we decided to get Popeyes for dinner one evening.
When we returned, only one of the Popeyes had an outdoor sign, so we pulled into the busy drive-thru lines. When I reached the order window, we placed a mobile order in line so everything would be ready to go. The Popeyes worker told me something funny: we would have to go to the Popeyes next door for mobile orders. I made a quick order of the shrimp special that wasn’t available on the mobile app, and we sent it to my sister-in-law next door to grab our mobile order. By the time I got to the window, she had returned to the van.
I wouldn’t have believed it if I had not seen it and ordered food from there, but they must love their Louisiana Fast in South Florida.
